Mansfield Pub Conversion: Plans to Transform The Pheasant Inn

The Mansfield pub conversion project aims to breathe new life into the long-vacant Pheasant Inn, located on Chesterfield Road. Currently, the property remains unsold, with no interest from pub companies or landlords. This latest proposal seeks permission to convert the ground floor into a versatile Class E business space, suitable for shops, eateries, or other commercial uses.

Last year, the council rejected a previous planning application for this site. However, the new plan has been refined to meet local requirements and community needs more closely.

New Apartments and Business Opportunities

If approved, the conversion will also include transforming the upper floors into three one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom apartment. This mixed-use development not only maximizes the building’s potential but also addresses local housing demand.

The new business on the ground floor is expected to create five jobs, supporting the Mansfield economy and providing valuable opportunities for residents.

Ricky Dhir, the current owner, has partnered with AK Innovative Design Solution Ltd to submit this planning application. Their aim is to revitalize the derelict pub, making it a vibrant part of the Chesterfield Road community once again.

Supporting Local Regeneration

This Mansfield pub conversion fits into wider efforts to regenerate the area, encouraging economic growth while preserving important local landmarks. The proposed business space will provide flexible options for entrepreneurs and local services.

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to review the plans and participate in consultation processes through the local council’s planning portal.
